Alexander Huber

Berlin, Germany.
q: If I were to visit Berlin, which place would you take me to visit?
a: I would take you to the ‘Teufelsberg’ (Devil’s mountain) in the Grunewald forrest. It’s a hill made of rubble from World War II. You get a terrific view of Berlin and you can get lost in the forrest and might meet a family of boars on the way. There’s a nice little lake too.

q: I noticed quite proportion of your films document the LGBT scene in Berlin, why the interest and how do you go about filming?
a: Most of my LGBT related films are made in collaboration with Discodamaged, a gay online magazine for Berlin in English. My British boyfriend runs the mag.

q: Favorite food?
a: Italian
q: Any new music to recommend?
a: PJ Harvey’s ‘Let England Shake’ is great, although it’s not that new anymore.
I like rediscovering older music too and would recommend ‘Nonsexmonkrock’ by Nina Hagen.
