q: You shoot mainly in black and white. Why?
a: It’s not a simple question to answer. Besides being an aesthetic
choice it makes more sense for me to shoot in black and white because
my photographs are very personal, they’re a way of exploring feelings,
fears, memories and questions that haunt me, and those feelings or
questions can never be colorful, they’re too dark to be colorful.

q: What photographic equipment do you use?
a: I mainly use a Ricoh GR1 which features a 28mm f/2.8 lens, I like
compact film cameras because the size makes them easy to handle, fast
and quiet.

q: Any tips to aspiring photographers out there?
a: The best advices I can give not just for aspiring photographers but
for anyone really; work hard and never give up. There’s a quote by
Charles Bukowski that makes a lot of sense to me “If you’re going to
try, go all the way. Otherwise, don’t even start.”

q: Any music to recommend?
a: I’d recommend all The Beatles records, especially the White Album.
I like older stuff like Lou Reed, Bob Dylan, Joy Division, but also
more recent stuff like The Strokes.
